KC invites Tulsa Ski Club to annual race event at Snow Creek near KC

The Kansas City Ski Club has moved its annual Kandahar to Sat. Feb 25 at Snow Creek near Weston, MO. Although medals are only awarded to club members, anyone is welcome to come out and race with us for bragging rights, and maybe a little revenge.

Join in on the fun and friendly competition of alpine ski and snowboard racing with The Kansas City Ski Club! The Kansas City Ski Club will award Adult and Junior Club titles at the “Kandahar Races”, an annual racing event sponsored by the Kansas City Ski Club. This year, junior and adult events will be held: Saturday, February 25, 2012, Snow Creek Ski, Ride, & Tube, Weston, Missouri. The event begins at 8:00 am with registration and bib assignments at the lodge, followed by the races, and an awards ceremony in the new East dining room at Snow Creek Lodge.   The cost of advanced registration is $25 for the first family member and $20 for each additional family member. This includes race fees, medals (if won), activities on the snow, and a meal coupon for the Snow Creek restaurants. It does not include the cost of a lift ticket or equipment rental at Snow Creek. Action shots and group photos will be taken at Snow Creek and during the awards ceremony.  Racers must be a current member of the Kansas City Ski Club in order to win medals, but all are encouraged to participate. Skier’s Night Out ~ SNO ~ tonight at Charlie Mitchell’s

4848 S. Yale Avenue at 5:30 pm on Thursday, 2/16. This is Tulsa’s newest “hot spot” and the ambiance is wonderful! This is a super opportunity to bring a guest or a prospective new member. Lots of fun ~ a great group of people ~ and, an neat place to hang out! Hope to see a bunch of you at both of our upcoming events !

 

Greetings Tulsa Ski Club!

The TSC has two events this week and we wish to encourage our members and guests to join us!

1. Valentine’s Day Membership Meeting is at Joe’s Crab Shack! (6:00 pm)!  Yes, our Monthly General Meeting is this Tuesday, 2/14 ~ and, that happens to be Valentine’s Day.  So, come on over to Joe’s and have a fun time with the Tulsa Ski Club.  Our social hour begins at a new time ~ 6:00 pm  ~ the business meeting begins at 7 pm. February newsletter available

New monthly meeting time, location

The club’s monthly meetings will still be held the second Tuesday of each month – but the club will meet at a new time and location. The meeting on February 14, 2012 will be at Joe’s Crab Shack, 7646 East 61st Street in Tulsa, OK. Social hour will begin at 6 pm and the meeting will be at 7 pm. That night is also Valentine’s Day so we’ll have our own informal Valentine’s party! As always, everyone welcome! Bring a friend and join us!

January meeting – Tuesday, Jan 10

Our General Membership Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, 1/10/2012 at the Elks Lodge located at 5335 S. Harvard in Tulsa. Social hour at 7 pm, meeting at 8 pm. This is our first meeting of the new year ~ come on by and hear about our upcoming Winter Skiing Trips and enjoy the company of a super bunch of people. Bring a friend/guest ~ new members are welcome! See ya!
