New monthly meeting time, location

The club’s monthly meetings will still be held the second Tuesday of each month – but the club will meet at a new time and location. The meeting on February 14, 2012 will be at Joe’s Crab Shack, 7646 East 61st Street in Tulsa, OK. Social hour will begin at 6 pm and the meeting will be at 7 pm. That night is also Valentine’s Day so we’ll have our own informal Valentine’s party! As always, everyone welcome! Bring a friend and join us!

January meeting – Tuesday, Jan 10

Our General Membership Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, 1/10/2012 at the Elks Lodge located at 5335 S. Harvard in Tulsa. Social hour at 7 pm, meeting at 8 pm. This is our first meeting of the new year ~ come on by and hear about our upcoming Winter Skiing Trips and enjoy the company of a super bunch of people. Bring a friend/guest ~ new members are welcome! See ya!

Friday, December 9th, 7-11 pm at Escargot’s, 724 S. Main Street, Tulsa, Ok

The Tulsa Ski Club’s Annual Dinner & Dance is just around the corner.  So, you’ll want to mark your calendars and prepare your reservations early  (last year was a “SOLD OUT” event ~ we have space for 110 good people).  This is a dressy/casual event with dinner and dancing and perhaps a couple of surprises during the evening   Always a fun time ~ don’t miss out!

• A sumptuous buffet of ‘home-style’ dishes begins at 7:00 pm
• Rock & roll to our DJ beginning at 8:00 pm
• Cash Bar (yes, we will have vodka & orange juice this year!!!!)
• Dressy-Casual 
• $25.00 per person

Skiers Night Out at Oktoberfest, Thurs, Oct 20, 5:30 pm til ????

Chicken Dance anyone?  A Stein of Bier with a Wienerschnitzel or a Bratwurst?  How about the Midlife Crisis Band?   Well…..its all here on Thursday evening, October 20th, at Oktoberfest!!

First…….we start at the Main Tent for Skiers Night Out ~ 5:30 til about 7:30 pm.  Then, we dance over to the Bier Keller Tent to party with the Midlife Crisis Band  (they start playing at 8:00 pm) and stay as long as you can or until you’re out of steam!   So, put on you lederhosen and a great big smile and come on down to Skiers Night Out!  Oktoberfest is one of Tulsa’s premier events and there’s no better way to experience it than with the Tulsa Ski Club.   Guests are welcome ~ so bring one along

Greetings Tulsa Ski Club!

Last chanceto purchase Ski Trips at special Early Bird Pricing! Our Monthly Meeting is Tuesday, 10/11at the Elks Lodge ~ 5337 S. Harvard ~ at 7:00 pm.  As you can see, we’re back at the Elks Lodge for our fall and winter meetings so that our Trip Captains have adequate room for their trip displays and registration tables.  Be sure to attend and peruse the fine selection of winter ski/snowboard trips that have been expertly planned by Winter Trip Chair Terry Gordon (yea). 

Early Bird Pricing!  All trips have’early bird’ prices ~ but, these special prices are about to expire and will increase by $25 immediately after our meeting this Tuesday ~ so, don’t delay!  Pick a trip or two and sign up now!  All necessary forms/applications will be available at our meeting ~ don’t miss it!

As usual, we will have updates about our upcoming social events (Oktoberfest is our Skiers Night Out this month);  drawings for gift certificates;  and, our 50/50 drawing is back!!! 

So, grab a friend, a neighbor, a relative or someone who owes you money ~ and, come on to the Elks Lodge for a fun and an informative get-together!

This Week!!!  Skiers Night Out at Marley’s (6104 E. 71st Street ~ just west of Reasor’s)  Thursday, 9/15,  5:30 – 7:30 pm  ~ Marley’s features Chicago-style pizza, great sandwiches and pasta dishes.  For our SNO, we’ll have 1/2 price Appetizers, $1.25 domestic draft beer/$1.75 domestic bottled beer!  So, grab a friend and come on over to Marley’s ~ this Thursday!!!

TSC Annual “Sign-up Picnic!”   ~  Sunday, 9/18, 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm, Elks Lodge located at 5335 S. Harvard.  Come and peruse this season’s selection of Ski/Snowboard trips and take advantage of the “early bird” pricing available to those who sign-up prior to October 11th! Each Trip Captain will be on hand at their “Display Table” w/applications, flyers and complete information.   Free  Beer!  Hot dogs!  Side dishes!  Soda Pop!  ~  while supplies last     P.S.  We welcome any members’ “side dishes” at the picnic ~ so, if you’re inclined, whip up a favorite recipe(s) and bring ‘em along!

Golfers ~ TSC Wants You to Sign Up Now!  The TSC Fall Golf Tournament needs your reservation now ~ please don’t delay ~  contact Gene Elsberry  or Jim Sanwick and get on the roster!   The Tournament is scheduled for Sunday, October 2with a ‘shotgun start’ at 1:30 pm.   Complete details are on the Tulsa Ski Club website (www.TulsaSkiClub.com)  and Gene & Jim will be available at the TSC Sign up picnic this coming Sunday    P.S.  There will be a “Social ” at George’s Pub, 5:00 – 7:00 pm, too!
